After several years with Jim Oddwinds I found out it was time to do something else. I was tired to allways discuss with the so called "bandleader" the progress and how the music should be played.
It was time to begin to make music arrangement after my own head.

My own band should wear my name, my first and middle, so I started early to called it for TORE HENNINGS.
First of all, I needed a good lead singer, a drummer and a saxophonist.  On the keyboards I asked a friend of mine who said yes.  Since the vocalist also played the guitar, I hoped he could fill in the with some guitar on some melodies.

But we needed more folks. So, for the first time in my life, I put in an classified ad in a newspaper named "Aftenposten".
I was lucky and got several usable folks who came to "Sørumsand" "  to play and talk.

We ended up with these musicians : Oddbjørn Marki Hammond,  Arlid Olafsen Drums, Sven-Erik Harms vocal / guitar, Sven Lillegård saxophone,  and Tore Tveter on Bass.

I had always in my head wished to have proper Hammond L100 organ with tone wheels in the band, so I took a little tour into
my lockal music dealer "Østnes Musikk" and asked for a good offer.    He hadn't heard about this type of organ before, so I promised him
a free ad on our new poster, if we could get a good price.

I talked with big word:
We are going to be very famous. Obtained a realy fine deal, and full of self-confidence walked into the next shop:

Men's clothing. Asked them nicely to borrow 5 set of menswear.
Only for use for photos at the Photographer next door, and we where still very famous, and promised again free ad on the poster.             And the result shows up in the pictures over (the very famous one).

After a while jumped Sven-Erik out the band. Got problems with transportation to our practice place, didn't have a driving license.

Sven got an working offer he couldn't say no to, at his home town, so we had to rearrange the band.

I took over the song after pressure from the others, and there was a common agreement that we needed a very good guitar picking man   and a new saxophonist.

New classified ad came up, and we got reply the same week.
Two new names came into the band: Dag Kristoffersen Guitar,           Lasse Nettum sax.

Later Douglas Haldorsen sax and flute.

After a while we also got ourselves a band bus.

I know, that type haven't you not seen before.

It was an Russian vehicle, the brand R.A.T Latvia 12 seats school bus, purchased from the                Russian embassy, Oslo.
And what a sight, brush hand painted, orange and black. The only positive thing was, Volga motor and         all spare parts were fully able to purchase in Oslo at a jolly reasonable price.
This monster of a car started willingly in -10 F, also on 50-50 gasoline and kerosene.
