"Henning Tveter" the Plastic Pioneer

In 1953 became the first norwegian fibreglass plastic boat made by the
Nordisk Formstoff, Lillestrøm, launched by Henning Tveter and Herbert Waarum on

"Nitelva" in "Lillestrøm."
Henning Tveter the creator and was responsible for the design of the boat hull, after a

sketch by "Bror With".


When fibreglass plastics proved to be resistant to many corrosive chemicals
Tveter performed many installations in several large tanks for disposal,                                           for the Norwegian chemical major industry.
Technological Institute, Oslo said that Mr. Henning Tveter was a leader in its field.

Henning Tveter was also a pioneer man understand the field of vacuum forming

of PVC plastic plates.
He built together with Mr. Sorensen's theirs own vacuum form machine.

There is also a part of history that when Thor Heyerdahl was reinstall

the world famous "Kon-Tiki" fleet into the Kon-Tiki museum in Oslo,

my father was asked to add an thin invisible layer of plastic on the outside of the

straw mats that were used to lodge in the fleet.
